Unit 7: Peer-Review Week! Finalizing Assignment 2

Page history last edited by Eda Ozyesilpinar 5 years, 1 month ago
Unit Objectives and Assignments for Week 7!

*Peer-Review week: In your assigned groups, provide feedback to your group members' first draft of Assignment 2. Use the assignment description and the assessment rubric available in the course syllabus, guidelines from the readings we have completed for Assignment 2, Appendix B from our textbook. As you provide your group members feedback, make sure to keep in mind the assignment expectations. Your feedback to each group members should be critical and thoughtful and only a sentence or two. You written feedback to offer insightful suggestions for your peers, you should aim for approximately 300-500 words.

*Peer-Review Groups: In Blackboard-Unit 7 Module, you will find "Assignment 2 Peer-Review Groups," which informs you about which group you are in and who your group members are. In Unit 7 Module, you will also find "Peer-Review Boxes for Groups." In this section, you will find a submission box for your group. Use the submission box for your group to submit your draft and your feedback for each group member. Using your group's submission box to exchange feedback will 1) guarantees that all group members have access and 2) help me to track your progress easily.

*Peer-Review 2 Group Conferences: Sign Up for the Peer-Review 2-Group Conferences on March 7th. Use the sign-up sheet available in below, in the 'Peer-Review Guidelines' section.

*If you have questions, post them to the submission box "Questions-Clarifications About Assignment 2" on BB.

Reminder: Change in Assignment 2 Deadline

The original deadline for final draft submissions was March 8 (by the end of the day). The new deadline is March 15 (by the end of the day).

For the second peer-review exercise, you are in groups of four. This will 1) enable all of you to receive multiple feedbacks and 2) prevent each group member not receiving any feedback at all. This means that you are required to provide feedback to the other 3 members in your assigned group; in total 3 separate feedbacks for each group member. It is of vital importance that you complete the second peer-review exercise in a timely manner. This is why you have time until Wednesday, March 6th (by the end of the day) because we will have peer-review group conferences on March 7th. I will meet with each group and answer your questions and will offer you further feedback over your drafts. For these conference sessions to be effective, you need to prepare the questions you want to ask me. The Sign Up sheet for these conferences is available below.
